September 2, 2025
We want to inform you that Triangle Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates has been “de-selected” from United Healthcare’s Medicare Advantage network.
➡️ What this means for you:
- Beginning November 1, 2025, patients with United Healthcare Medicare Advantage will no longer be able to receive care at our practice unless you switch plans.
- To continue care with us, you may need to either:
- Select a different Medicare Advantage plan that includes our practice
- Transition to a different type of Medicare coverage
- Pay out of pocket for your visits
➡️ Why this is happening:
- United Healthcare did not provide a reason for their decision.
- Unfortunately, this decision suggests that United Healthcare may no longer wish to support patients with serious or complex health conditions. By making care more difficult to access, they may be hoping patients switch plans—ultimately saving the company money.
➡️ What you can do:
- Contact United Healthcare directly to express your concerns.
- Reach out to your state and federal representatives to share how this decision impacts you.
We understand how disruptive this may be and are committed to supporting you through the transition. Our team will do everything possible to help you navigate your options.
Thank you for trusting Triangle Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates with your care.
